CEREC Same-Day Crowns
A Damaged Tooth Fixed in a Single Visit
Cracked, chipped, or decayed tooth? A crown protects and restores it. With CEREC technology, we design, mill, and place an all-ceramic crown in one appointment — no temporary, no second visit.
When You Might Need This
What Is a Dental Crown?
A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that fits over a damaged tooth — restoring its shape, strength, and appearance. You might need one if you have a tooth that's cracked, badly decayed, weakened after a root canal, or worn down over time. Crowns are also used to cover dental implants or anchor a bridge.
Traditionally, getting a crown means two visits spread over weeks — impressions, a temporary crown, and waiting for a lab. With CEREC, the entire process happens in a single appointment: scan, design, mill, and place. You walk out with a permanent, all-ceramic crown the same day.
Why CEREC
Why Patients Choose CEREC
CEREC by Sirona is the world's only system for all-ceramic restorations fabricated chairside in a single visit — crowns, onlays, and veneers, permanently placed the same day.
Single Appointment
Traditional crowns mean two visits, temporaries, and weeks of waiting. With CEREC, the entire process — scan, design, mill, and place — happens in one appointment. No temporary crown, no second injection, no return trip.

Strongest Materials
CEREC restorations are milled from solid ceramic that closely matches the composition of natural tooth. It expands and contracts with temperature just like enamel — so your tooth won't crack when you go from hot coffee to cold water. The ceramic is chemically bonded, preserving as much healthy tooth as possible.

Smile Transformation
CEREC isn't only for crowns. Chipped, discolored, or uneven front teeth can be repaired with porcelain veneers or anterior crowns — designed and placed the same day. The result is indistinguishable from natural teeth.

The Process
Five Steps to a Perfect Crown
Assessment & Preparation
Your dentist examines the tooth, discusses the CEREC option, and removes any decay or old filling material to prepare the surface.
3D Digital Scan
A CEREC camera takes a precise 3D photograph of your tooth — no messy impressions. The digital model appears on screen in seconds.
Computer-Aided Design
The restoration is contoured on the computer, matching the exact anatomy and bite of your natural teeth.
Chairside Milling
The CEREC machine mills your restoration from a solid block of dental ceramic in approximately 15 minutes.
Fitting & Finishing
The restoration is permanently attached to your tooth and polished to match the look and feel of natural enamel. You leave with a finished crown in a single visit — typically under 2 hours total.
The Technology
Precision Manufacturing
CEREC machine milling a ceramic restoration from a solid block.
Bridge fabrication — the same precision applied to multi-unit restorations.
